The JPA Temp Handbook
“Creating a Permanent feeling in a Temporary world”
Congratulations! You have now successfully registered as a temporary worker with JPA Temps.
Our philosophy is based on listening to the needs of both our candidates and clients, allowing us always to work with our candidates’ best interests in mind.
At JPA we pride ourselves not only on our ability to find the ideal position for our candidates but also on our honest and ethical approach.
We hope this website will answer any questions you have. If not, please contact us on 020 7821 4824.
Office Opening Hours
Our office opening hours are 08:30-18:00 Monday to Friday. In the event of an EMERGENCY you should contact us on 07947 539058.
Dress Code
Unless otherwise stated please dress in smart business attire (i.e. business suit).
Timesheets
In order to process your pay promptly completed timesheets MUST be authorised by your line manager and sent to your JPA consultant no later than 09:00 on a Monday. Failure to do this will result in a delay in your wages being paid.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE WE RECEIVE YOUR AUTHORISED TIMESHEET ON TIME!
Payment
We are committed to paying our temporary workers and contractors correctly and on time every week. JPA Temps are paid in arrears, weekly on a Friday (provided we have
received your timesheet on time!)
Each organisation has its own policies on overtime. This will be covered when discussing the assignment.
Absence and Sickness
If for any reason you are unable to attend your assignment it is imperative that you contact us before 08:30. This enables us to make arrangements for your cover and hopefully keep the booking open for you.
Accrued Holiday Pay
Accrued holiday pay is calculated in relation to the number of weeks worked.
Claiming Paid Leave
Agree dates with your line manager beforehand (if on assignment), then email or put in writing to JPA Temps specifying the dates you wish to take.
The Working Time Regulations prohibits annual leave entitlement from being carried over to the following year.
It is YOUR responsibility to take your entitlement before the end of the year.
Use of Office Equipment and Email
As a general rule you should not use the organisation’s equipment for personal use. This includes email, stationery, internet, photocopiers and telephones.
Mobile Phones
You will normally be expected to keep your mobile phone off while at work unless in exceptional circumstances or as agreed with your line manager.
Staying in Touch
JPA Temps aims to provide you with the best possible service. To allow us to do this effectively we ask that you keep us informed of your availability.
Top Tips
